Don't forget to check the chapters tab in your podcatcher. This is a thing we're doing now, so keep an eye open for those.
We recorded this episode back in April, which is why Squidge makes his announcement at the top of the show. Seriously, we really did record this one five months ago. It's been one heck of a year for the Waffling Taylors so far.
There are millions of games out there. And as a real example, Jay pulled up wikipedia's list of ZX Spectrum games. The ZX Spectrum has a confirmed list of 1,728 video games. And that's just the confirmed games... but there are still games being discovered now that weren't that well-advertised games. What we're getting at is that this is back when video gaming wasn't as huge of an industry as it is now, and because of that... there are so many games that it's easy to miss one which should be a classic when it's mixed in (with everything else).
With that in mind, we sat with G (aka #dontCallMeAudrey) to discuss some of the video games that we think are hidden gems. The discussion ended up going on for three hours (and we still only covered about 5 or 6 games in that time), so we've split the conversation into two parts.
What you are reading now aren't the full show notes, because would take forever and a day to download them. So make sure to click here to read the full show notes (and to see the amazing artwork, provided by Yurricanes). There is a whole load more content over in those fuller show notes, you know - including lots of links to related stuff.
What are some of your hidden gems from the gaming canon? Do you agree with our picks so far? Which games do you think will be in part two? Let us know on Twitter, Facebook, leave a comment on the show notes or try our brand new contact page.
And have you left us a rating or review? We really like to hear back from listeners about our show, so check out https://wafflingtaylors.rocks/our-podcast/ for links to services where you can leave us some wonderful feedback.
