"When I got started as a personal trainer, I was like, most personal trainers in that I was pretty terrible at it. Basically just counting reps and making up random workouts. Mike has taken an experiential approach to fad diets by trying them himself before recommending to anyone else. In most cases, he will only keep a piece of the diet to incorporate into his lifestyle moving forward.

One of the benefits of intermittent fasting is autophagy. Autophagy is a cellular mechanism where your body can get rid of old cells. So when a normal like fully functioning healthy human body, you should have cellular turnover happening fairly regularly. In fact, all the cells in the human body are completely renewed every seven years.

Another main benefit of fasting is that it actually increases your body's growth hormone levels. And I know there's one study, I don't remember who the researchers are, but they showed participants actually had. A 2000% increase in growth hormone, which is an insane number to think about.
