Sin, however, has fractured this design, leaving both beauty and brokenness in our friendships—deep joy and deep hurt. Using the story of the paralytic and his friends in Mark 2, Devon outlined three marks of formative friendship: intentionality, persistence, and faithfulness—friends who purposefully bring one another closer to Jesus.
