Steve and I discuss why many ideas and perspectives on pride are all valid. That there is no \"right\" way to approach pride any more than there's a right way to approach recovery, queerness or life. We unpack some of our own internalized negative feelings growing up queer while living inside closets. Forgetting that all along we heard evwry slights, insults, and otherwise hateful comments. It is important for me to unpack all the techniques I used to hide my true self. For i have hidden beneath layers of alternate selves and versions of me that may have been partially true. We chat about being gentle whenever possible because everyone carries unknown pain and experience. We tried an experiment with going live on TikTok during the podcast and within the short session we received anti queer hate. A reminder that no matter what we are talking about, there will always be people thinking about our genitals. Take good care of each other and yourselves. Much love Steve, thank you for always being you.","thumbnail_url":"https://img.transistorcdn.com/SXgmKjZwcgOni_JaZMwHefUHculLw_31_XgUGryUANs/rs:fill:0:0:1/w:400/h:400/q:60/mb:500000/aHR0cHM6Ly9pbWct/dXBsb2FkLXByb2R1/Y3Rpb24udHJhbnNp/c3Rvci5mbS9zaG93/LzEyNjE3LzE1OTUz/NDE5MTctYXJ0d29y/ay5qcGc.webp","thumbnail_width":300,"thumbnail_height":300}
