We selectively read and interpret biblical promises of what Jesus our King came to do.  2. We are consumed with defeating the wrong enemy.  Ephesians 6:12-13 (ESV)“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.” 3. Our primary focus is the earthly preservation of our nation.  Philippians 3:20 (NKJV) “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Timothy 2:1-4 (NIV)“You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
