This episode focuses on the hot topic of waste.\n\nBut this is not just another podcast on waste. With waste making up around 3% of\nHaFS businesses footprints, we ask - is waste really a strategic priority? And if so, why?\n\nHow can we overhaul our industry’s existing piecemeal approach to tacking waste to\ndrive transformational change? And we will paint a picture of a waste-free future that\ncan be achieved using the technology available to us today.\n\nWe will talk to Nestlé Professional, Sodexo and WRAP to discuss their achievements\nin tackling packaging and food waste, as well as innovations in wider industry, such\nas innovative new eco-options that can be recycled within existing infrastructure (e.g.\nsea-weed based options), and reusables, such as those trialled by McDonalds or the\nuser-friendly reuse models being rolled out at venues and festivals.\n\nFood waste has risen up the agenda because its significant carbon impact makes\nreducing food waste vital to achieving net zero targets. Our panellists will share\ninsights of how organisations such as Nestlé and Sodexo are harnessing food saving\nto achieve carbon and cost reductions.\n\nSokhna Gueye - Head of Packaging, Nestlé UK&I\nSophie Whitfield - Head of Corporate Responsibility Engagement, Sodexo UK&I\nEleanor Morris - Sector Specialist, WRAP\nAmy Fetzer - Footprint, Chair","thumbnail_url":"https://img.transistorcdn.com/kgqdejJoFiwtVV5I3X2xOSr1f-jwba6fUaBdaeKRk5A/rs:fill:0:0:1/w:400/h:400/q:60/mb:500000/aHR0cHM6Ly9pbWct/dXBsb2FkLXByb2R1/Y3Rpb24udHJhbnNp/c3Rvci5mbS9zaG93/LzI5MjY2LzE2ODA1/Mjk0NzItYXJ0d29y/ay5qcGc.webp","thumbnail_width":300,"thumbnail_height":300}
