The householder respectfully invited him in and served him a meal. After resting for a while, the sage prepared to leave and offered money to the host. But the host declined, saying he had given food not for money, but as a sacred duty to feed the hungry. The sage replied, “This money is not for personal use, but to help you continue feeding others. Let this noble act become a tradition.” With gentle insistence, he gave the money and departed.
