We meet with Jan Michener, Founder and Executive Director of Arts Holding Hands & Hearts (AHHAH). Based in Kennett Square, AHHAH supports young people in under resourced communities across Chester County. The organizations runs a range of arts and literacy programs in communities, schools, and the youth detention center – all focused on enabling those young people to thrive, rather than merely service. With deep commitment to helping children read at grade level from an early age, Jan walks us through several of AHHAH’s program and initiatives.\nOUR PARTNER\nSouthern Chester County Chamber of Commerce\nLINKS\nArts Holding Hands and Hearts (AHHAH)\nWebsite: ahhah.org\nInstagram: instagram.com/artsholdinghandsandhearts\nFacebook: facebook.com/ArtsHoldingHandsAndHeartsInc\nJan Michener on LinkedIn\nAdditional Links\nChester County Futures\nKennett Ability Network (KAN)\nGood Works\nCamp Dreamcatcher\nKennett Library\nJustamere Foundation\nChester County Intermediate Unit\nChester County Youth Center\nDolly Parton’s Imagination Library\nThe Alliance for Health Equity\nChester County Opportunities Industrialization Center (CCOIC)\nOther Interviews with Jan Michener\nJan Michener on Great Dames\nJan Michener on The Art of Volunteering Podcast\nRelated Episodes\nRepairing Homes and Building Relationships with Bob Beggs\nNurturing Belonging and Celebrating Community with Children Impacted by HIV/AIDS with Patty Hillkirk\nBuilding Community and Capacity with Chris Manna\nTRANSCRIPT\nThe full transcript for this episode will be published on our website as soon as it is available.","thumbnail_url":"https://img.transistorcdn.com/O3-LPjst6hNcGIRrftxR3k6QivI-cZMcu5DFE-qWCD4/rs:fill:0:0:1/w:400/h:400/q:60/mb:500000/aHR0cHM6Ly9pbWct/dXBsb2FkLXByb2R1/Y3Rpb24udHJhbnNp/c3Rvci5mbS9zaG93/LzQwNDA4LzE2ODk4/ODgyNzItYXJ0d29y/ay5qcGc.webp","thumbnail_width":300,"thumbnail_height":300}
