Though extremely beautiful, she was proud of her looks and cruel in behavior. By illusion, she took the form of a celestial nymph and enticed princes who had come to the forest for hunting. She shrank them to the size of a thumb and kept them in golden cages, forcing them to learn various dances. If they refused, she would pierce them with a golden needle and cause pain. One day, a forest goddess came to that region and was drawn by the sight of the golden cages. Learning what had happened, she cursed the flower-queen: “You shall become the queen of bees and live in a pearl-colored palace. With your large body, you will never be able to leave it”.
