Aristotle built his philosophical masterwork around it in the 4th century. People are still asking it today — and still not finding answers. Why am I here, and what is the point of my life? The question has never gone away, because the need behind it hasn't gone away. And the frustrating truth is that so few people ever actually answer it.\nPart of the reason is a growing cultural message that says the question doesn't have an answer — because there is no you. Atheism doesn't just say there's no God; it says there's no conscious self inside your body. No soul, no identity, no inner life that transcends what you can see in the mirror. Christopher Hitchens put it plainly: I don't have a body. I am a body. That's it. But the New Testament teaches the exact opposite — that there is a you, it's a soul, and it inhabits this body the way a person inhabits a tent. That distinction changes everything about how you live.\nWhen people opt out of answering the question — not making any determination about who they are or why they're here — they don't escape it. They end up with an identity by default. And those default identities tend to be false ones, built from whatever the world hands you when you stop asking the question for yourself. The consequences of living in that gap — between who you are and who you know yourself to be — are enormous. And they're avoidable.\nSupport the mission of the Salty Pastor ministry!
