Solomon's palace takes nearly twice as long to build as the temple, and his pride begins to grow. In verse 27, Solomon rightly acknowledges: “The heavens, even the highest heaven, cannot contain you. How much less this temple I have built!” Yet soon, that humility fades.\nThe temple becomes more of a trophy than a testament. And though the people don’t realise it, this temple is only a shadow—pointing to something far greater.\nThat something is Jesus.\nJesus is the true temple (John 2:19–21). Through Him, God dwells not in buildings, but in us. Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19).
