That pattern doesn't change on its own.\nBut work for the wrong reasons — fear, ego, status, filling an emotional gap — leads to burnout, workaholism, and a harvest that leaves you empty even when it's full. The distinction that keeps ambition healthy is straightforward: love your family more than you love the rewards of work, and love Jesus more than you love the deal. When those are true, the character of your work changes. You don't take shortcuts. You don't use a double standard. And you build a reputation that can't be purchased.
