In light of Jesus’ death and resurrection, what is the vision entrusted to us by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ? What does it mean to be his disciple? And, in light of this, what kind of church should we be? Over the next three sermons, we will seek to answer these questions.\nOver Easter, our Family Ministries Team prepared a creative, tactile experience of Jesus’ walk toward his death and resurrection. It was called Road to Easter. At one station, we were encouraged to draw a picture of worship. Immediately, I drew a person on the top of a mountain, with hands raised, looking out over the expanse of a vast mountain range.\nWhat is it about mountaintops that inspire us to worship? Is it the beauty of creation, the majesty of a mountain range, or the experience of seeing beyond our little world and being overwhelmed by the expanse of God’s world?\nAt the end of Matthew, the Risen Jesus meets his disciples on a mountain. What does He want them to see?\nLooking Outward: Jesus’ Compelling Vision\nLooking Inward: Jesus’ Cautious Disciples\nLooking Upward: Jesus’ Universal Authority\n\nReflection Questions:\nJesus commissions both worshiping and doubting disciples. Why are you worshiping him today? What may be causing you to hesitate?\nJesus has all authority in heaven and on earth. How should this truth strengthen and embolden you in your calling to make disciples?","thumbnail_url":"https://img.transistorcdn.com/-yKS7rLxKXni1A8xlxG5cz-nFaYHFKZjz34ea74hKQo/rs:fill:0:0:1/w:400/h:400/q:60/mb:500000/aHR0cHM6Ly9pbWct/dXBsb2FkLXByb2R1/Y3Rpb24udHJhbnNp/c3Rvci5mbS9jZjIy/M2MzNTQ0ODlhYzBh/M2E0NzQ3NDdjMTQ0/Njk1My5wbmc.webp","thumbnail_width":300,"thumbnail_height":300}
