We can receive material blessings with gratitude without allowing them to replace the Lord. And if God calls us to surrender something—money, possessions, comfort, status, or another attachment—we should be willing to give it up.\nWealth can make salvation more difficult when it creates pride, selfishness, attachment, or the illusion that we do not need God. But wealth can also become an instrument of love when it is placed at God's service.
