On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Jim Moore for the first thirty minutes where Jim rails against Jedd Fisch and him wearing a visor. Puck and Jim also make another bet. In fact, they made two of them. Puck is taking UW +2.5 at Iowa and the 49ers -3.5 against the Seahawks. Both bets for $100. Jim has been on a heater and Puck desperately needs a win.
Rob Staton, SeahawksDraftBlog.com, checks in for his weekly visit to talk all things Seahawks. The frustration with the defense. The injury to Uchenna Nwosu and the lackluster performance from the team against the Giants. Why did the Seahawks come out so flat against New York and Rob explains why that is such a huge problem.
Ryan Grubb didn’t have his best game, obviously, but it’s no time to panic for the offense. Both Puck and Rob feel like the offense will get it going and it will start on Thursday against the 49ers.
Speaking of the 49ers, this Thursday’s game is most likely a must win for both. Both teams are winless in the conference. Whoever loses is not out of the playoff race, but it will be a major uphill climb.
Could help be on the way for the Seahawks defense? Rob wants to kick the tires on former Seahawks player, Jadeveon Clowney. You agree?
We check in with Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times for his weekly offseason look at the Mariners and other off the wall topics that Puck and Divish can come up with. Best tacos. Best bourbon. Struggling golf games and modern complaints of 40 year olds.
Divish gives his reaction to the John Stanton interview on
Mariners.com. What didn’t he answer? Is there anything that Stanton could have said that would have appeased the Mariners fan base?
Puck and Divish lament how much damage the Mariners could have made in the playoffs because of the lack of really good starting pitching in the postseason. The Dodgers and Tigers (minus Skubal) have issues in their rotation. The Mariners team was built for the postseason, however, they are not built for the regular season.
Lastly, “Hey, What the Puck!?” Puck address blowback from his criticism of Daniel Kramer’s piece on
Mariners.com. Puck offers an apology.
Rundown

01:15:59 Ryan Divish, Seattle Times talks about the Mariners offseason in his weekly visit. What are his thoughts on John Stanton’s interview with
Mariners.com? How could the Mariners waste their starting pitching, especially when they are built for the postseason. The MLB playoffs have been sensational. Who do we want to see in the World Series? Divish talks about his Montana Grizzlies. His love for bourbon and his terrible golf game.
