We welcome back our favorite Irish-American spirit animal & lover of all things music Kelly Finnigan as he returns from his solo European tour & prepares for the release of the new Monophonics LP "It's Only Us" via Colemine Records on March 13. We got a sneaky exclusive listen to a couple of tunes off the album prior to release along with a great interview with the artist where he discusses doing string arrangement for the first time professionally, his love of library music, and a possible live album dropping soon (maybe). We could have turned this into a four hour special no joke, but alas we only had two. Kelly dropped some classics for his playlist from Neil Young, The Sylvers, and Curtis Mayfield while the spillover from his playlist actually had him take over the playlist for most of part 2 in our 2nd half hour to boot! First part we honored Teena Marie on what would have been The Ivory Queen of Soul's 64th birthday.
