President's Chapel @ Elim Bible College

Greg Falco reminds us that conflict isn’t something we can avoid—especially if we’re stepping into leadership. It’s going to happen. The real question is how we respond to it. Instead of running from conflict, he challenges believers to handle it in a way that protects relationships and reflects Christ. Yes, there are some unhealthy situations where distance is necessary. But many times, conflict becomes a tool God uses to shape us—revealing our pride and inviting us into deeper surrender.
He lays out five practical, biblical steps for dealing with meaningful conflict: pause and check your own heart first, go to the person privately, truly listen, own your part and repent where needed, and then work together toward a solution that benefits both sides. The goal isn’t to win an argument—it’s to restore the relationship.
Students are encouraged to take the first step when tension arises, to value the unity Jesus paid for, and to grow into the kind of leaders who pursue peace and forgiveness with maturity.
