Something for the turbo

We caught up with industry insider Troy de Haas. Former Australian athlete Troy moved into cycling from travel when he took up the position of Head of Sport with BMC. Based in Switzerland, he was responsible for looking after their pro team, as well as their mountain bike, triathlon and other athletes and ambassadors. He oversaw tremendous success with BMC with their trade team and across many other channels before securing the relationship with the now NTT Pro Cycling team so BMC remained within the World Tour. He subsequently set up sports agency TdH which has worked across a number of sports, including F1. He is currently working with three world tour teams; NTT Pro Cycling, Israel Start Up Nation and Michelton Scott. He also works with ASO and a number of the sports legends, including George Hincapie and Cadel Evans. We discuss his journey, the structure of the sport, the future of the sport, travel and lots more.
