निन्द्यं कर्म राक्षसत्वाय

गुरुनानकः कदाचित् यदा प्रियशिष्येण मरदानेन सह विन्ध्याचलपरिसरे गच्छन् आसीत् तदा केचन वन्यजातीयाः मरदानं बद्ध्वा भैरवीगुहां प्रति बलिरूपेण नीतवन्तः । भैरव्याः अर्चकः तस्य मारणाय शूलं गृहीत्वा आगतः। तदा 'वाहे गुरु' इति ध्वनिः श्रुतः । एतस्य श्रवणात् अर्चके विलक्षणं परिवर्तनं दृष्टम् ।  एतत् दृष्ट्वा वन्यजातीयानां नायकः क्रोद्धेन 'भवान् कः?' इति अपृच्छत् । 'अहं भवान् इव मानवः अस्मि' इति गुरुनानकः अवदत् । तदनन्तरं तयोर्मध्ये यत् सम्भाषणं जातं तेन वन्यजातीनायकस्य न केवलं हृदयं द्रुतम् अपि तु तस्मिन् परिवर्तनम् अपि जातम् । सः गुरुनानकं शरणम् अगच्छत् । अन्ये सर्वे वन्यजातीयाः अपि नानकस्य शिष्याः अभवन् ।

Once, Guru Nanak was traveling with his beloved disciple Mardana in the Vindhyachal region. Some tribal people captured Mardana and took him to a Bhairavi cave as a sacrificial offering. The priest of Bhairavi, holding a trident, approached to kill him. At that moment, the sound of "Waheguru" was heard. Upon hearing this, the priest underwent a remarkable change. Observing this, the leader of the tribal people angrily asked, "Who are you?" Guru Nanak replied, "I am a human like you." Thereafter, the conversation that took place between them not only melted the heart of the tribal leader but also brought about a change in him. He sought refuge in Guru Nanak. All the other tribal people also became disciples of Guru Nanak.

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
