The Obligatory PSU Podcast

Brandon Noble tells the story of his life in football (Part 2).

Show Notes

Brandon continues recounting his football journey, this time focusing on his two seasons as a full-time starter for Penn State. These years spanned a "disappointing" encore to the 1994 Big Ten title in '95, punctuated by a legendary snow-swept home victory over Michigan and a bounce-back bowl win against Auburn, followed by an 11-2 season in '96, in which Brandon was named a senior captain and finished out his PSU career as defensive MVP of the Fiesta Bowl. Brandon reflects on this era of Nittany Lions football as well as his struggles breaking into the NFL as an undrafted free agent on the San Francisco practice squad. There's a lot to tell about his time in the pros (Barcelona, Dallas, Washington), and Chris, Kevin, and Mailman kept dragging him into digressions (go figure), so there will be a Part 3 in the not-too-distant future.
