Trick 'r Treat (2007)

The Final Ghouls are back after a LONG hibernation, and we're exploring Halloween in... May? with Trick r' Treat! (Blame Jeremy for falling off on the editing. Life and work got in the way.) Holly, Jeremy and L dive into the seasonal horror anthology to explore which segments we like best, learn about the problems around the film's release, and give a lot of praise to the characters and content.

Get Ready For: Discussion of our history with the Halloween season and how the film navigates the holiday, Sam Hain as the mascot of the franchise, Holly's haunted house history, L's lack of connection to Halloween, Jeremy's Letterboxd viewing challenge history, issues with the amount of ableist slurs in the kids' segment, Halloween orgy etiquette, and what we would like to see in the long-anticipated sequel.

Note: Jeremy got mixed up and referred to Gremlins as being directed by John Landis. They know it's Joe Dante, it was a brain fart.
