Reading Matthew Chapter 26

Jesus tells the disciples one more time that he will be crucified. The chief priests, scribes, and elders plan to use deceit to kill Jesus. At the house of Simon the leper a woman pours a jar of expensive ointment on Jesus. Then, the disciples and Jesus eat the Passover together, after which Jesus prays with sorrow and being exceedingly troubled. Finally, Judas betrays him with a kiss, the high priest accuses Jesus of blasphemy, and Peter denies Jesus. Read from the World English Bible.
