Despite neither of us buying into the concept of the "leader", this week's podcast is all about leadership.

Yesterday saw major speeches by Boris Johnson, Nicola Sturgeon, and Sir Keir Starmer, and in this episode we try and analyse their respective performances and figure out exactly what they tell us about the body politic north and south of the border.

We also examine the narratives that each of them are presenting to the public.

The FM and PM on tackling the pandemic and Starmer on his attempt to reposition the Labour Party in light of its defeat in the General Election.

FM and PMQs was not only an opportunity for Sturgeon and Johnson but also for opposition leaders .Just how well did they do?

Are they hidebound by the constitutional question at Holyrood?

In fact is the whole of Scottish politics in a state of limbo because of independence and Covid?
