भगवत्तत्त्वम्

आत्मानं नास्तिकं मन्यमानं कञ्चन राजानं द्रष्टुं कश्चन संन्यासी आगतवान् । तम् आशिषा अनुगृह्य मन्दहासपूर्वकम् अपृच्छत् संन्यासी 'भगवतः कृपया भवतः देशे सर्वं कुशलं ननु?’ इति । तत् श्रुत्वा राजा असन्तोषेण अवदत् 'देशे सर्वं कुशलम् एव । किन्तु अत्र न भगवतः दयायाः पात्रता कापि' इति । ततः संन्यासी मन्दहासं प्रकटयन् तं कांश्चन प्रश्नान् अपृच्छत् । राज्ञः मुखात् आगतैः उत्तरैः एव प्रतिपादयति संन्यासी यत् राजा भगवतः सत्ताम् इच्छति इति । तदनन्तरं भगवत्तत्त्वं अपि विवृणोति । तस्मात् प्रभावितः राजा भगवत्तत्त्वविषये बहून् प्रश्नान् अपृच्छत् । संन्यासिनः बोधनस्य कारणतः अल्पे एव काले सः भगवति श्रद्धावान् जातः ।

A monk once visited a king who considered himself an atheist. With a gentle smile, the monk blessed him and asked: ‘By God’s grace, is everything well in your kingdom?’. Annoyed, the king replied: ‘All is well here, but there is no place for God’s grace’. The monk, still smiling, asked him a series of questions. From the king’s own answers, the monk showed that the king indeed desired the existence of God. He then explained the nature of the Divine. Deeply moved, the king asked many questions about God, and through the monk’s teaching, soon developed faith in the Divine.

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
