Authors, educators, founder, and transformation officer – Vicki and Eileen are everything. And, importantly, their work delves into understanding chaos in order to enable real solutions. In this episode we’ll discuss their unique backgrounds and their latest publication: A New Way for NM Nonprofits.
Vicki’s background in social and economic justice lead her to work that enabled her to help others grow, be it community or business. Her love of convening and facilitating change among groups has brought Prospera Partners to the center of many important conversations.
Eileen understands their role as helping folks through transformation that only comes with a deep understanding of systems thinking and… curiosity. Having seen opportunities for systems change with youth education, Eileen built leadership development for outdoor educators and has evolved that development to the nonprofit sector and their own consulting work, Rooted in Integrity. Eileen focuses on how we talk about values to actually embodying those values to which we aspire.
Eileen’s substack, The Cynical Environmentalist, critiques the environmentalist movement and asks, “we can have justice but WILL WE… if we leave humans out of the discussion?
Vicki notes that their paper is giving her life! A New Way for NM Nonprofits is 15 years in the making, asking what would it take to get to a nonprofit sector centered in equity and supportive of NM communities? Listen in to understand the outcomes of their deep investigatory, data-based work in the sector and what typically only consultants can say out loud.
