It is Good to be Near God

We saw in Psalm 73 the painful gap between God's goodness and our daily suffering brought into the sanctuary of God. The Lord reorients our hearts by showing the true end of the wicked, revealing our own need for mercy, and fixing our hope on Jesus, whose death and resurrection bring us near to God and hold us there.

Scripture Passage: Psalm 73

In Psalm 73, we saw the ache of the gap between God's promised goodness and the suffering we actually meet in a broken world. In the sanctuary, the Lord reorients us: the wicked are seen in their true end, our own need for mercy is exposed, and the risen Christ becomes our sure refuge. Because Jesus has suffered, died, and been raised for us, it is good to be near God.

What is Trinity Fellowship - North Jefferson, AL?

In recent years, members of Redeemer Community Church from across north Jefferson County began praying and dreaming together about seeing a similar church planted in their community. This had already happened once before in Homewood when Grace Fellowship was planted in 2017 and they wondered whether it could happen where they lived. The more they prayed and discussed this with the leadership of these two churches, the more it became clear that God was leading them to partner together to plant Trinity Fellowship.

The long-term aim is for Trinity to be an independent church that continues to partner with the Redeemer family of churches in celebrating and declaring the gospel across the region.
