S2: Sustainably Speaking Beyond the Classroom

On today's episode, hosts Christa Tuominen and Gabriele Misus interview Zack Landsman, founder of JunkLabz, a university-level non-profit initiative for plastics recycling. Zack visited the IIIEE at Lund University as part of the University of Virginia's Global Sustainability Consulting program. Uniquely, his initiative has contributed to recycling number five plastic (polypropylene / PP), that is primarily found in research labs within pipette tip boxes. In this episode, Zack walks us through the inception of his idea, the organization’s goals, financing, and other aspirations.
