Listeners, we're finally back this week with a new episode with Dr Lydiana Garcia.
Dr. Lydiana Garcia is a Boricua licensed psychologist in LA that specializes in facilitating healing trauma and overcoming life’s adversities via her private practice, The Beyond Resilience Life podcast (bilingual En/Sp), and through her digital program The Healing Village. She has been featured in Univision 34, Telemundo 52, FierceByMitu, EstrellaTV, The Los Angeles Psychological Association and HipLatina. She is also a wife and a mom of a 4.5 energetic son, and a soon-to-be daughter (due in May 2020). On her free time, she enjoys reading and learning about spirituality, somatic approaches to healing trauma, dancing, traveling and acting.
During our conversation, Dr Lydiana shares her experience of growing up in Puerto Rico, moving to Los Angeles and how she ended up specializing in the area of trauma.
I asked Dr Lydiana her thoughts about trigger warnings because they could sometimes isolate people rather than integrate them.
