Reading 2 Samuel Chapter 19

Joab speaks firmly to David to help him snap out of his disproportional grieving. David encourages his tribe, Judah, to escort him back to Jerusalem. Along the way, Shimei asks for forgiveness and Mephibosheth says the Ziba tricked him. Barzillai declines the honor of going to Jerusalem with the king, but suggests that Chimham go instead. Then the other 10 tribes show up to complain that they were not included in the festivities. Read from the World English Bible.
