The programme intends to drive innovation within the energy sector and are open for all types of energy related startups. Smart Energy can be considered in a broad sense; helping to reduce our energy or CO2 footprint on the world. In short, the main focus is on the intersection of I.T. and clean-tech, particularly in areas of smart home and metering, collective and decentralized energy generation & distribution, energy reduction, energy usage awareness, mobility and energy trade. Rockstart plans to take on 10 promising startups for this intensive programme.
