Ascend Men

John the Baptist had a special mission. He was to go ahead of Jesus and prepare for His earthly mission of saving the world. It was foretold in the Old Testament (Isaiah 40:3), and looked forward to in the song his father sang over him as a baby. Let’s just stop for a moment and appreciate that image of a father singing over his child, speaking faith into his life about what he would grow up to do. Isn’t that wonderful? And it’s just what God does for us – singing over us with delight and belief (Zephaniah 3:17).

Show Notes

Today's Scripture
"you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for Him, to give His people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins". Luke 1:76-77

Key takeaway for the day:
We can’t make people believe, but we can make it as easy as possible to find out about Jesus. Don’t keep the knowledge of salvation to yourself this Advent.

What is Ascend Men?

It's a bunch of men who want to do life together and in doing so, get closer to God, to each other and to those around us. This podcast supports that mission, by inspiring and equipping men to be who God intended them to be.
