Show Notes

We have a choice about whether we will cultivate the true self that we have been given or whether we will squander it through embracing false self tendencies and behaviors (the pursuit of other things we deem to be more valuable). Hartley talks about how to find our soul—our true self—that which makes us who we are uniquely and has been given its very existence by God himself. Kevin talks about options and things to consider when deciding your best plan for filing your Income Taxes. The two dialogue about soul care, blue law, taxes, celebrities, sports and the despair of uneducated middle-age white men.

A Hidden Wholeness: The Journey Toward an Undivided Life by Parker J. Palmer (2004, published by Jose-Bass) is the book from which Hartley quotes:  "The soul is like a wild animal...."

Kevin references his two most-recent blog posts which can be read online here.
