ज्ञानी नाम

कश्चन तरुणः विद्याभ्यासं समाप्य आत्मानं महाज्ञानिनम् मत्वा यत्र यत्र गच्छति सर्वत्रापि गर्वेण पृच्छति 'मत्समः विद्वान् भवता कोऽपि किं दृष्टः?’ इति । तत् ज्ञात्वा बुद्धः पण्डितवेषं धृत्वा युवकस्य समीपम् आगतवान् । सम्भाषणावसरे बुद्धेन उक्तं -’विद्वान् वादं करोति, ज्ञानी आत्मनः शासनं करोति।' तत् कथनं तरुणे परिणामम् अजनयत् । ज्ञानी कथं आत्मशासनं करोति इति पृष्टे बूद्धः विस्तरेण विवृणोति येन सः युवकः स्वस्वरूपज्ञानं प्राप्य गर्वमुक्तः भवति ।

A young man, after completing his studies, began to consider himself a great scholar. Wherever he went, he arrogantly asked, 'Has anyone seen a scholar like me?' Upon hearing this, the Buddha, disguised as a learned man, approached the young man. During their conversation, the Buddha said, 'A scholar engages in debates, but a wise person governs himself.' This statement made a deep impact on the young man. When asked how a wise person governs himself, the Buddha explained in detail, helping the young man gain self-awareness and humility, thus freeing him from his arrogance.

What is बालमोदिनी?

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।

It is believed that listeners will appreciate this effort to make these stories available in Sanskrit. These are the first stories to be podcasted in the Sanskrit language within this field.
