Sumiko Saulson is an author Afrosurrealist and multicultural sci-fi and horror.  Zhe has won multiple awards and also writes a column "Writing While Black"  for the San Francisco BayView.  Zhe is a contributing author to the upcoming anthology SLAY: Stories of the Vampire Noire.
One of the things you'll be amazed by this episode is the catalyst to pursue a writing career and the tragic circumstances surrounding zher family. We talk about how the myths about black authors who write horror and it's history.
