September 6, 2026 - Revelation 6 asks who can stand. Revelation 7 answers: those sealed by God and sheltered by the Lamb.
John hears the numbered tribes of Israel and then sees an innumerable multitude from every nation. The people of God are both a divinely ordered army and a worshiping multicultural multitude. Their white robes have been washed in the blood of the Lamb—a paradox of cleansing through sacrifice. They have come through tribulation, but suffering does not possess or define them. God spreads his presence over them like a shelter. Hunger, thirst, scorching heat, and tears come to an end. The Lamb becomes their shepherd and guides them to living water. The King at the center of the throne is also the shepherd who bends toward his suffering people.
