Show Notes

Nobody wants to self-sabotage, yet we all do it from time to time.

Whether it’s procrastinating or making decisions that go against our values, self-sabotaging behavior is something that can hinder us from reaching our potential and achieving success in life.

Come to think of it: the real cost of self-sabotage isn’t necessarily measured in dollars and cents, although it can be. The true cost is the potential we forgo when our self-limiting behaviors take over. Doing things that don’t align with our values or delaying projects and tasks because we are afraid of failure can cause us to miss out on opportunities and experiences that could lead to self-growth.

But before we dive deep into the cost of self-sabotage, let's talk a bit about running a business.

You're probably well aware that running a business, on its own, is already a learned skill. That's why it’s normal to make mistakes as we progress. But the thing is, sometimes, self-sabotage can add an extra layer of difficulty to your progress, as missteps caused by self-doubt or fear can be self-perpetuating and hard to undo.

But the good news is, self-sabotage isn’t a permanent roadblock, and it’s possible to break the self-limiting cycle. By recognizing our self-destructive tendencies and practicing self-awareness, we can build self-confidence and make better decisions. We can even rewire our brains for success and ensure self-sabotage doesn’t hinder our potential.
