Two researchers at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, psychologist Megan Oaten and biologist Ken Cheng, discovered how physical exercise improves your willpower.

The participants in the study were simply given a free membership to a gym and encouraged to make good use of it, but here’s the thing: None of them had exercised regularly before they received the gym membership.
