परिवर्तनम्

कस्यचन वृद्धस्य राज्ञः प्रासादे उत्सवः आयोजितः आसीत् । बहवः नृपाः आसन् । कार्यक्रमान्ते नर्तक्याः नृत्यं प्राचलत् ।  किञ्चित्कालानन्तरं वाद्यवादकः निद्रां प्राप्नुवन् अस्ति इति कारणतः नर्तकी भीत्या तं सावधानं कर्तुम् एकं श्लोकम् अवदत् । वाद्यवादकः तन्द्रां त्यक्त्वा सम्यक् अवादयत् । तस्य श्लोकस्य अर्थं विभिन्नाः जनाः विभिन्नप्रकारेण स्वीकृतवन्तः ।  नर्तक्याः गुरुः, राजकुमारी, राजकुमारः, वृद्धः राजा च तस्य श्लोकस्य अर्थं कथं स्वीकृतवन्तः, तेन किं किं परिवर्तनं जातम् इति स्वारस्यकारीं कथां श्रुत्वा जानन्तु ।

Once, a grand celebration was held in the palace of an elderly king. Many kings had gathered for the occasion. At the end of the event, a dancer began her performance. After some time, the musician started dozing off, which worried the dancer. To wake him up without causing a scene, she cleverly recited a verse. The musician immediately became alert and played his instrument properly. Different people interpreted the meaning of the verse in different ways. The dancer’s teacher, the princess, the prince, and the old king each understood it in their own way, and their interpretations led to interesting changes in their thoughts and actions. This story shows how a single verse can inspire many minds in different directions.

What is बालमोदिनी?

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
