December 15, 2022 The Center for the Oldest Ice Exploration (COLDEX) is developing glacier ice core records of past climate, environmental conditions and atmospheric chemistry. Dr. Peter Neff is the field director for COLDEX is in Antarctica leading a team who will use the polar ice core samples to learn greenhouse gas levels as far back as 2.7 million years ago to help scientists understand the evolution and future of Earth's Climate System.
