Will Wade, 42, is the head men’s basketball coach at North Carolina State University. He’s previously served as the HC at UT-Chattanooga, VCU, LSU, and McNeese State. In 11 years of leading programs, he’s never had a losing record and his teams have made 7 tournament appearances. During #SearchSZN, Sage implored NC State to hire him and fell in love with the rabid NC State fan base who agreed with his assessment and pushed to make it happen. Wade joined the show from his new office in Raleigh and discussed his career arc, leadership philosophy, the search that landed him at ‘State, and the scandal that took him away from the sidelines for a year (’22-23) but that a few years later would be considered the objectively correct way to recruit.
