Producing Strategies

Lian discusses working across different art forms, media and spaces, and how there is: "no dividing line between artist and arts worker in my practice". With a background in scenography, visual art, cultural project management, and social activism, she has worked for over twenty five years with some of the most significant arts organisations and contemporary performance makers in Ireland.

Alongside her own creative practice, her collaborative work in the performing arts, and her work supporting others through facilitation, she is perhaps best known as Campaign Director of #WakingTheFeminists.

What is Producing Strategies?

In Producing Strategies an academic and curator talk to experts from creative spheres (including art, writing, theatre, dance) about how they produce things. We often find that when talking abour creativity things like form and content are what are mostly discussed. In Producing Strategies we consider the other work that goes on when producing things and which is sometimes overlooked.
