In his first letter to the Corinthians, the apostle Paul writes about the power of the Cross and the dangers of allowing clever words or human wisdom to rob us of receiving its full impact and effect (1Co 1:17-18). In this message we consider how the Cross is God's mighty power for us (bringing salvation, healing and restoration), in us (enabling us to live in the power and freedom of a ‘crucified life’), and through us (as God’s power to reach the lost and address the intense needs of our day). There are no substitutes: we must allow the Cross to speak for itself and do its work!...
