मातुः उपदेशः

मातुः उपदेशानुसारं सुप्रसिद्धः राजा गोपीचन्दः राज्यस्य त्यागं कृत्वा गोरखनाथस्य शिष्यः जातः । प्रथमदिने एव गुरुः गोपीचन्दं भिक्षायाचनार्थं प्रेषितवान् । ततः भिक्षाटनार्थं गतवान् । सः मातुः समीपम् अपि गत्वा भिक्षाम् अयाचत । माता त्रीणि गूढवचनानि भिक्षारूपेण अवदत् - ‘सर्वदा सुरक्षिते दुर्गे तिष्ठतु । स्वादिष्टं भोजनं एव खादतु । सुखमये सुगन्धिते तल्पे एव शयनं करोतु' इति। तेषां अर्थः च - 'गुरुसन्निधिः एव सुरक्षितः दुर्गः । यदा बुभुक्षा भवति तदा एव भोजनं स्वादिष्टं भवति । अतः यदा बुभुक्षितः अस्ति तदा एव भोजनं करोतु । यदा यत्र निद्रा बाधते तदा तत्रैव शयनं करोतु' इति ।
(“केन्द्रीयसंस्कृतविश्वविद्यालयस्य अष्टादशीयोजनान्तर्गततया एतासां कथानां ध्वनिप्रक्षेपणं क्रियते”)

Following his mother’s advice, the renowned King Gopichand renounced his throne and became a disciple of Gorakhnath. On the first day, his guru sent him to beg for alms. During his journey, Gopichand also approached his mother for alms. Instead, she gave him three symbolic teachings: ‘Always stay in a secure fort. Eat only delicious food. Sleep in a comfortable and fragrant bed’. She then explained their deeper meaning: ‘The guru’s presence is the true fortress of safety. When one is truly hungry, even simple food tastes delicious. Sleep should come naturally, wherever the body feels at rest’. Through these lessons, she guided him toward detachment and wisdom.

What is बालमोदिनी?

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
