On this episode we talk about the important topic of how to develop leaders. More specifically, we talk about three crucial steps in the process.
First, we focus on their character. Leaders must be FAT (Faithful, Available, Teachable) and hungry.
Second, we consider what domain of leadership is needed in developing a particular leader (executing, influencing, building relationships, or thinking strategically).
And third, we use the six-part framework of equipping, empowering, and unleashing:
- Teach
- Demonstrate
- Observe
- Evaluate
- Encourage
- Evacuate
The goal is leadership development is not about creating clones; instead, it is about multiplying leaders. And leaders who multiply other leaders are resilient.
