We hear from, amongst others, father and son Yavier and Guilee who are originally from Northern Spain but have settled in Carlow Kilkenny - as you would imagine their song choices are very different with dad choosing the Spanish entry from the 1973 Eurovision Song Contest and his son choosing something very much more up to date.Then there’s Pablo from the radio station Cadena 100 in Madrid who’ll be talking about the biggest hit songs in Spain at the moment.

With music evoking powerful moods and memories, there’s much we can learn from someone's personal choice of music, so each week, for 10 weeks, members of a different new Irish community introduce songs from their country of heritage that are personally important to them. Alongside this, Vinny Bradley will be linking up with a radio presenter and radio station in that country to talk about current musical trends and play some of their biggest hit songs of the moment.
