Cold Steel: Canadian Journal of Surgery Podcast

If you were to wander into one of the operating rooms at the Ottawa Civic Hospital and hear a discussion about colorectal surgery, Plato, and Drake simultaneously, you could be pretty sure that you were in the OR of Dr. Husein Moloo (https://twitter.com/HMoloo?s=20). Dr. Moloo is a dually trained minimally invasive and colorectal surgeon in Ottawa. We had the pleasure of speaking with the Renaissance man Dr. Moloo about the impressive quality improvement initiatives he has led in Ottawa, as well as his thoughts on the unique shared practice model in the Ottawa colorectal group. True to the advice he shares at the end of the podcast, Dr. Moloo was recently named the maiden director of Planetary Health at the University of Ottawa. To paraphrase the Canadian philosopher Drake, “If you ain’t been a part of it at least you got to witness.”
