The book of Proverbs teaches that wisdom is not just about what we say, but how we say it, when we say it, and when we choose to say nothing at all. A soft answer can turn away conflict, while harsh words stir up damage that is hard to undo. Wise people also know that not every situation deserves a response, and silence can be one of the most powerful tools we have. At the same time, some things absolutely need to be said. Encouragement, affirmation, and love spoken at the right moment can bring genuine healing to the people around us. Our words can either build people up or tear them down, and the choice is ours.
