Mindy's Comedy Archives

Ruby enters the archives getting headshots on a winter morning. We talked about crushes and pretty much nothing else. Ruby had an early start... she did ASSSSCAT at age 4! Our episode covers photos from her show at UCB East, Las Culturistas, and her 2017 book, Earth Hates Me. Her special, I Don't Trust Adults premieres on September 10.

Ruby Karp has been doing stand up since she started hosting her own show at UCB when she was 11 years old. Ruby just starred opposite Charlie Puth in the improvised comedy series, The Charlie Puth Show. The role was created for her based off of her videos at Betches. She was a Video Producer at Betches, where her videos amassed upwards of 50M+ views. She published a book, Earth Hates Me, in high school which she hopes you do not read. She’s been featured on JFL, Comedy Central, MTV, and more. Her Off-Broadway show, I Don’t Trust Adults, opens March 26 and runs until May 3rd at SoHo Playhouse.

What is Mindy's Comedy Archives?

MINDY'S COMEDY ARCHIVES is a visual podcast featuring intimate interviews with the people who have been an instrumental part of the New York comedy community for the past 20 years. In each episode, our guest flips through a chronological stack of photos (starting with their very first "Mindy") using each image to unlock specific memories about their evolution in comedy. We'll touch on memories of early struggles and day jobs, to breakthroughs, friendships, and career shifts in an ever-changing industry.
