भगवतः अस्तित्वम्

कदाचित् कश्चन तरुणः रमणमहर्षिम् उपसर्प्य भगवतः अस्तित्वस्य विषये सन्देहं प्रकटयति । सन्देहस्य कारणे पृष्टे 'यावत् ईश्वरः दृष्टिगोचरः न भवेत् तावत् तस्य अस्तित्वस्य विषये श्रद्धा अपि न भवेत्' इति । तदा महर्षिः मन्दहासपूर्वकम् अवदत् 'अहं कञ्चित् प्रश्नं पृच्छामि । किं भवति बुद्धिमत्ता अस्ति?’ । 'तत्र नास्ति एव सन्देहः' इति यदा तरुणः वदति तदा महर्षिः वदति 'किन्तु सा न दृश्यते मया । तस्मात् कथं निर्णेतुं शक्नुयाम?’ इति । एतस्मात् कथनात् भगवतः विषये अपि एवमेव चिन्तनीयम् इति ज्ञात्वा भगवतः अस्तित्वस्य विषये अपगतसन्देहः अभवत् तरुणः ।

Once, a young man approached Ramana Maharshi and expressed doubt about the existence of God. When asked the reason for his doubt, he said, ‘As long as God is not visible, there can be no faith in His existence’. Then Maharshi, with a gentle smile, said, ‘Let me ask you a question. Does intelligence exist within you?’ When the young man replied, ‘There is no doubt about it’, Maharshi said, ‘But I do not see it. How can I determine its existence?’ From this statement, the young man understood that he should think in a similar manner regarding the existence of God. Hence, his doubt about God's existence vanished.

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
