The Fair Credit Reporting Act or FCRA is a federal law that protects consumer's information in their credit report. Under the FCRA, consumers are entitled to statutory damages up to $1,000 and actual damages for anything that they can prove caused them damages as a result of the inaccurate information. The Fair Credit Reporting Act also has a fee shift provision, which means the credit bureaus and furnisher is responsible for our attorney's fees and costs. The consumer never pays our attorney's fees and costs. We’ve helped thousands of consumers with debt collectors and credit report problems.
